First time camping as the Piché 6

Required some new accommodations... We bought a second hand 1987 Coleman Laramie tent trailer.

 

Ronan thought this outdoor living might be fun...

 

 

 

We wanted to go somewhere close for our first adventure and we didn't have a lot of time to book something for a variety of reasons.  Unfortunately that didn't leave much to choose from, which the kids were quick to pick up on.  I don't think we were there 15 minutes when we heard the first "I'm bored!"

 

 

We also recently acquired this eating tent.  After one of those crazy windstorms we had this summer, Damian drove by this tent for days hooked up on a farm field's fence all inside out and upside down.  It was probably after a week when he determined nobody was going to claim it and he'd bring it home.  It took a bit of time to right it, but we were happy to find only one small snag in the netting!

 

 

Although Ronan has mastered rolling from his back to his tummy, he still acts surprised when he succeeds at rolling from his tummy to his back... Enough to make everyone laugh at his expression anyway.

Outdoor movie; take one

This past weekend I took the kids to go see Wreck-it Ralph at a free outdoor showing where Damian works.  Even though Damian was working he was able to join us for some of it.

Just waiting for the sun to set...  Check out Caelan's lollipop!

Even Ronan enjoyed himself.  He was so curious looking all around.

 





 

Since Damian's working again this coming Saturday I think were going to try going again. 

It was nice while it lasted...

It's been a long time but we had no night nursing this weekend.
Not Saturday.
Not Sunday.
Hopefully that's the beginning and the end of that.

You know when it's been so long since you've done something, the idea of doing it again is a bit overwhelming...  I just don't even know where to start.

Hopefully this will be a bit of a kick start... maybe....

Boys having some summer fun

Museum of Nature

Went on a bit of an adventure today to the Museum of Nature.

 

So much fun, especially seeing Caelan walking around and exploring on his own.  Only a couple times was he a little too brave for Mom, wandering off on his own adventures!!  Good thing I had lots of hands there with me!

 

Took lots of pictures but none really turned out.

Someone either isn't looking at the camera, has their eyes closed, is a blur or is making a silly face...

Then leave it to Ronan to look like he's picking his nose!!

Lunch with Daddy

The girls were both off doing their thing.  Darcy at camp and Ry celebrating her birthday with Nana and Grampsy.

Can't remember if one of the boys had a doctors appointment that brought us into town today... Probably.

Regardless, there we were, an impromptu lunch date with Daddy at the mall.
